Mt. Pleasant Elementary students in Mrs. Esposito’s and Mrs. Zlochower’s AIS reading groups blasted off into summer with a space-themed end-of-year reading celebration! Younger students soared through activities like catching sight word planets and building sentences using word blocks.
Meanwhile, older students launched into fun, skill-building games-tossing bean bags in a sight word cornhole challenge, playing a galaxy themed letter-word association game, and identifying the main idea of an exciting fictional space story.
It was a stellar way to wrap up a year of reading growth and exploration!
